Free Traffic Tips: Using Newsletters & Forums

© AffiliateSeeking - This article is not allowed to be re-published but can be linked to.

Getting started online requires a great deal of traffic in order to promote and build identity for your company. As the saying goes it takes money to make money. However when it comes to traffic, there are three ways in which you can obtain visitors to your website. Today we will discuss two of those particular methods for free traffic: newsletters and forums.

Using Newsletters for Traffic

You can build traffic to your website by making use of newsletters. A simple update as to what is going on within your company, new deals or promotions, and/or giving away insider secrets are great ways to build a list of potential customers as well as a great way to keep a steady stream of traffic coming to your website.

Most webmasters utilize newsletters, also referred to as autoresponders, as a means to build a list of interested people or potential customers. In most cases, to build up your newsletter subscriber count, you must draw attention to your opt in form, or give something away of value in exchange for a subscriber.

People who sign up for your newsletter are interested in what you have to offer and by marketing to them on a consistent basis, you can increase the traffic that comes to your website as well as increase your potential for sales.

Using Forums for Traffic

By participating in the forums and other interactive group communities online, you can drive a great deal of targeted traffic to your website for free. One of the advantages of using forums in your niche for traffic isn't that you are not just going after traffic period. Instead, you are going after targeted traffic which means that the visitors you receive on your website are looking specifically for the content that you offer. For example, if you were seeking to drive traffic to your fitness website, you would avoid interacting with online forums dedicated specifically for dog owners. As you can see, the traffic you are received would not be targeted.

Forum traffic allows you to actively participate in discussions that revolve around your niche. Also, forum traffic allows you to divert traffic to your website through the signature that you have as a member on the forum.

Is important to remember that when participating in forums, that you be genuine and add value to each discussion that you participate in. By being an active and genuine member, you can ensure that you do not run the risk of looking like a member only interested in promoting the links in your signature.
