Some Common SEO Myths Explained

© AffiliateSeeking - This article is not allowed to be re-published but can be linked to.

These days, majority of the people believe on one or more SEO myths that are misleading people and soon enough find themselves all broken with a messed up online business. Many companies would simply sound too good to be true saying that as soon as you sign up with them, within no time your website would be ranked on top among different search engines. However, majority of such kind of companies are scam or fake but in this piece of writing, we won't be discussing about such companies instead, in this piece of writing, I would be discussing some common SEO myths in order to clear any misconception which is prevailing within your minds.

Talking about SEO myths, mostly people believe on the saying that if their SEO campaign does not shows results for around a month; it is a total failure. The thing over here is that you need sustainability and not temporary top ranks. Websites that use proper SEO take months and even years to get to the top but once they do they stay there for long. If you see failure for a while then wait and watch, show patience, check if your SEO tactics are all intact or you need to make some improvements.

Another myth states something like that if you need higher search engine rankings; you need to get your website submitted to different search engines. Now ask yourself a question that how many search engines are hardly there and how many do you actually even use? Similarly, your friends and relatives would be using the same two or three search engines as well. Why are you spending money getting your website submitted over several directories and search engines when people actually use the top 3? I guess, you must have gotten an idea that you only need to practice some SEO techniques for the purpose of getting your website ranked among different search engines.

People also say that the more visitors you get the better it is! Well, to some extent it is true but still it is just a myth. It does not matter if you are getting a thousand visitors every day, what matters is that how many are actually even visiting your product page and making an actual purchase. Only potential visitors matter and all others are of no use. Lastly, you might have heard that the better your site would look, better the chances of success would get; wrong. People do not really care about all those fancy looking shiny websites; all they care about is quality info and honesty.
