1. Reddit - is a popular social news/social bookmarking website that covers a various amount of topics that are focused on. These topics include programming, science, politics, and business, this is an extremely high traffic website and is beneficial to generate traffic for you.

2. Digg - is by far the largest social news website on the Internet today. This website covers all topics from technology to general news. It can also provide a strong amount of traffic for you.

3. Propeller - another one of the extremely popular social news sites is this one. It operates similar to Digg by covering all topics from politics to entertainment.

4. Mixx - is also very popular, although it is more of a social news site. Topics included on this website include sports, health, entertainment, and technology. Furthermore, there are groups that will allow you to share information with others also.

5. Shoutwire - another general news site that has a large amount of users on daily basis. Topics covered are politics, entertainment, lifestyle, and sports.
