Without marketing, it is not possible for any business to succeed and same is the case with websites. Without internet marketing, it is not possible for any website to continue and earn profits on the long run. There are many types of internet marketing techniques that are used to promote websites. Article Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Video Marketing, Podcast Distribution are some of the marketing techniques and Article Marketing is the most promising internet marketing technique in all these.

Cost involved in this type of marketing is least and cost could be negligible for you if you are yourself a writer. What is involved in article marketing? It is all about keyword research, writing unique, informative and keyword rich articles, writing great resource box and submitting articles to as many high PR sites as possible. Keyword research is the difficult part of type of marketing. In keyword research, marketer has to find those keywords that could be easily optimized in a website and website could secure high page rank with those keywords as soon as possible.

The main points to concentrate in article writing part of article marketing are the structure of the article and grammar of the content. Structure of good article should have 3 parts and these are introduction, body of the article and conclusion. Introduction of the article should not be specific to the topic but it should talk generally. Body of the article should have informative content that readers could be interested to read and act as advised in the article. If the reader reads the article and clicks the URL as advised in the article then the aim of article marketer is achieved. Conclusion of article is what the results are derived from the article. It is the advice given to the readers.

The next part of article writing is grammar of the article. Articles should be grammatically strong to retain the reader's interest to read till the end. Articles should also be checked for spelling mistakes because an article with spelling mistakes can't get more readers. Error free articles have high responses as compared to articles with spelling and grammar mistakes.

The next part of article marketing is a resource box. Give time to write a resource box because a bad resource box can waste your effort of writing a great article. Links in resource box should be working. Content of resource box should motivate the users to click on the links. After writing a resource box, the next step is to submit your article to as many high PR article sites as possible. Some of the high PR sites are ezinearticles, amazines, ideamarketers, goarticles etc.

Great articles with a good resource box will gain tons of unique visits. Articles should be keyword rich articles and keywords should be decided only after keyword research. Articles should be submitted to many high PR directories to gain many backlinks.
