Building Backlinks the Easy Way

Building back links is the most important foundation for building traffic to your website. Sadly, many webmasters are unaware of the actual importance that this has. Aside from proper keyword research and site optimization, link building is absolutely crucial to the success of your business. It's important that you set aside a certain amount of time each week to build your back link profile as this will ultimately help you generate more traffic.

The truth is, there are basically three different types of ways to achieve back links. Each of these is equally as important, and if done correctly, your rankings in the search engine will increase.

Reciprocal Linking

Reciprocal linking is simply the act of asking one website to link to you in exchange for a link back to them. This will only hold importance if you choose linking partners that are relevant to your site. For instance, if you have a pet related website try to exchange links with other pet related websites. What is most important here is not the amount of links that you have, but rather the quality of the links that you obtain. Therefore, be choosy when choosing the websites that you wish to link to you.

One Way Links

One-way link building appears natural to the search engines. Thus, these types of links hold much more weight than reciprocal linking. The easiest way to accomplish this is by creating an article and submitting it to an article directory. Within this article you should include your websites link.

All websites are in need of valuable content for their site. Many webmasters obtain a lot of their valuable content from article directories. There are hundreds of these directories, some being more important than others. The fact remains that if you submit articles to these directories often, you increase the chances of other webmasters finding your content and pasting it into their own websites. Truthfully, this method of link building is much more effective than reciprocal linking and offers potential to achieve much better results.

Directory Listings

Submitting to online Web directories is also viewed as natural by the search engines. Most of these online directories do not require a reciprocal link. In fact, it is possible to submit to a large amount of directories as there are thousands of them. This will take a little time and effort on your part; the best way to handle this is to simply submit to a few each day. Doing it this way will keep the process from becoming too tedious.
