Make sure you have a secured mailing list and correct virus protection to prevent unsolicited mail and potential viruses from hackers. Avoid things like co-registration and mixing lists. It is also important to be on top of your record keeping keeping it updated and active. Your mailing lists change all the time so you do not want to target people that are no longer interested.
