The Wonders of Image Hosting

One convenient way to share your photos is using the Internet. A much easier way though is to use image hosting. It is a very easy way to upload you photos so that you could share it with your friends anywhere around the world.
There are a lot of image hosting websites on the Internet. Most of them are for free. All you have to do is sign-up or create an account. Once you are a member, you could start uploading your photos and sharing them. Oh yes, it's that easy!
But first, let's learn some terms of the trade. 'Image Hosting' websites are websites that host images of their members. For most free image hosting web sites, they usually have a limited file size for the images to be uploaded. When you send a picture to the site, you are uploading a file. Thus, when you are saving an image from the site, you are downloading. In most image hosting websites, one could upload multiple pictures at a time. This feature is very helpful especially if one is about to upload multiple photos.
After the uploading is done, the pictures are put into the members' gallery or album. The gallery is where all the images that have been uploaded would go to. In the gallery the pictures would sometimes appear as thumbnails or small representative images of the real images. This would give you an easier over view on the pictures. By looking at the thumbnails, you could easily select which picture you want and click on it. When you do so, the original size of the picture would appear.
The beauty of image hosting is that the images could still be viewed on a different website. When an image is uploaded, a link or a URL address is generated for it by the host. Each image would have a unique URL addressed to it. This URL or code is what you would use to embed the picture to an email, website, forum or blog. All one would do is to copy the generated code to embed it and paste it on the website, blog or email that they want the image to appear in.
Image hosts also allow the user to edit the title, and add comments or descriptions to their photos. There are features like creating a slide show for the pictures available in some sites too. When a friend of family would like to see the picture uploaded, all they would have to do is to go to the URL address or the link of the picture and they could access it anytime on any computer.
Image hosting is such a wonderful tool that lets you save or keep your images and share it at the same time. It is such an easy process that every one could do!
