Do you use Yahoo Answers for backlinks ?

Yahoo Answers is a unique way to get answers and i feel it is fun as when someone answers my question, I get to choose best out all the answers.
Mostly the questions i want to asked are already answered which saves a lot of time.
I Like it and also answer questions of my website niche and leave a contextual link in the answer.

Yes, i too abide with you, but i don't think that it can pull traffic to your website, it can give you a good back link but not traffic is what i think.

yahoo answers is a nofollow link but once your answer is chosen as the best answer, dunno exactly how many times though, your link will be dofollow.

Yes, sometimes I used Yahoo answers for Backlinks. Yahoo answers are very useful also in driving traffics into my site.

the only point in using yahoo answers to generate site traffic to get people to your website through direct referrals. All links are nofollowed so it will not improve your pagerank, or serps within google.

HOWEVER - building a good profile as a top responder, does have the potential to yield a lot of traffic, as long as it is relevant to the query.

I don't use yahoo answers for backlinks but very often I read the answers there for myself. It's rather interesting.

It could help with organic traffic, but I don't know if it would really be worth the effort. It doesn't help for SEO.

I used to and found that it's not very good for rankings. It only helps for direct traffic from links you post, but even that is minimal after the question has closed.

Yahoo answers will generate quality traffic to your site. People will come across your website through direct referrals and help in improving your PR.

yes even I agree with most of you here- it is not of much use in seo or getting quality backlinks but might help in getting actual traffic as long as the question remains open.

yes, maybe it is only a backlink but not useful traffic.

To the best of my knowledge, yahoo answers provide you with nofollow links and also they are great source of information. You can solve all your queries.

Most of the links on yahoo answers are a nofollow link, but once an answer that best fits your query has been chosen, variable to how many times, the link itself becomes a dofollow.

Yahoo answers is good for do follow backlink but when our answers are generic and best answers.

I have tried yahoo answers for about 3 months and have found the results not worth the efforts (slight traffic increase - about 2 %), even when my answer was choose as ''best answer'' and generated some traffic.
