Do you use Yahoo Answers for backlinks ?

Yahoo answer do not give backlinks. It is "No Follow". It is helpful to gain higher PR but its not useful for backlinks at all. However, there is another way to drive traffic from Yahoo answers. You may post a question having your keywords with one yahoo account and than answer the same question with your links from other yahoo account. It will help you to drive traffic from Yahoo answers.

I have used Yahoo answers, we can generate traffic from Yahoo answers but we need to be very careful not to violate the rules or in that case Yahoo has the right to suspend our account. Yahoo allows us to post our links once we have more than 250 points and we reach level 2 but still we have to be relevant in our work. Irrelevancy can cause us trouble.

Yahoo answers can help generating page views and extra traffic shares for the websites, especially if you post replies on pages which deal with very popular issues and hot web subjects. It is logical to assume a lot of readers will be clicking the links provided by posters as well. From SEO perspective, the links gained may not seem to be that strong but as mentioned, they can help spreading the word about domains and websites.

Even some big companies and financial institutes sites are reached everyday through clicks made on Yahoo answers, published by admins of the firms or webmasters who are referring the services to the readers. As mentioned earlier, the point is trying to post a lot of answers on Yahoo pages, creating so many opportunities for the ads and links of the websites to get seen by the readers, hopefully encouraging them to click them.

Yahoo answers provide no-follow link but it is quite useful for direct traffic.

yahoo answers is a nofollow link but once your answer is chosen as the best answer, dunno exactly how many times though, your link will be dofollow.

I very rarely use yahoo answer. and I'm not interested in using it.

People do not want to get their advice from a person who does not care how they present their work. It makes them appear to be less intelligent.
