Yahoo spidering

Yahoo spidering bots are quite crappy to say the least, in comparison with google bot. What do you think ?

I also have trouble with Yahoo.As far as Google and MSN is concerned there is no problem in getting your site indexed but for Yahoo it is another story.
Their algorithm is weird for me.

Well, I get about 700 Yahoo bots to my average of 14 Google bots. Yet in Google, my site is indexed on several pages- where as with Yahoo.. whew, another story.

Yeah - but come on lets give a little here. Yahoo at least don't have the same level of active propaganda that google are currently running, so you gotta give them some Qudos for honesty.

YOu can't compare gmail with yahoo.
Yahoo is much more than gmail.
But ya from search engine point of view Google is better than Yahoo

What do Gmail have to do with google site spider other than that i prefer google as well but i find yahoo is faster at indexing my page and new pages when i add them.

Well, all of them have some advanteges and disadvantages, and it's up to you to choose , for me it's Google and gmail, thogh at times I turn to Yahoo

For me, the sites vary because there are days when my sites do well in Yahoo and not in Google. I guess search engines, in general, change the way that they index sites from time to time.

Exactly, Google gives you more relevant results that can be very beneficial for you as this will go with your query and gives you results accordingly.

I don't think it is appropriate to say that, since the Yahoo and Google has different algo!

yahoo now dropping their position from search engine point of view. They getting more crapper then ever seem.

The problem with Yahoo bots, is they have so many of them. I get a huge number of bots instead of a few Google bots visiting my site just like someone else mentioned above.

Spider is nothing than PC program that follows some links on web and collects information as it goes. As these crawlers are merely PC programs, they aren't always the smartest of creatures and may get caught in endless loops built by dynamically created webpages.

i like yahoo even there are some problems with their search spiders.They don't use page rank technology like google.yahoo give more importance to domain keywords and back links.its easy to get more traffic from yahoo with simple optimization.
