Hi All,

I found that the strategies which are working quite well in Google and MSN is not up to the mark for Yahoo.

Can someone elaborate on that? How a yahoo algorithm is different from Google algorithm?

Can someone put more light on how to generate traffic from Yahoo?

Hi,

You are right that most people go for Google rankings but one can't ignore the importance of Yahoo also. For a better development of a site (SEO wise) it is important to consider Yahoo and also Bing.

Yahoo is furthermore more perceptive to the quality of links. If you build a bunch of poor quality links (especially run of site links), you may find that Yahoo reacts poorly.

Cannot find what best work in Yahoo. I have tried content quality, promoted over social websites but stil it is the same. I have tried building links and submitting to many paid directories but with no luck.

Now, what makes your website ranked in Yahoo is quite confusing.

Every search engine has different search algo, many of my sites keywords are on top of yahoo and Google, i have notice that yahoo loves new links and don't care about their quality , mean links from blogs is the best for bringing up keyword on yahoo.

I think Yahoo gives importance to the websites with lots of backlinks plus higher keyword densities. This could also be applicable to the Bing results. Many websites could be found which are powered by only a few links on Yahoo but due to their on page strength, are found at the top.

I am in this business for some time now , and from all my experience i noticed one thing that yahoo likes links quantity not quality, more blogspot links can even take your keyword at first place.

Yahoo search engine count nofollow links and its easy to get good rank but Google follows only quality dofollow backlinks and you can get natural traffic from Google.
