Website Designing, is it an art or a trick?

Hi all,

I have been confused to determine that is the website designing an art or a trick that you can learn using some tools and technologies. First I thought that this is a trick but when I gone through designcontest.com then I had to change my mind and accept that this is an art that only an artist can perform. What do you say, please visit this awesome website, see their work and then give your opinion.

The combination of art and technology!You understand the art, but no technology is not enough! With the technology, but you do not know art, but also not a good web design!

Web designing is a perfect art. Its not only a trick. It is a professional work and has to do very professionally and elegantly. Its the structure of website. how we see a website and how much user-friendly a website is, all depends upon a good website design.
So its a crucial part of web development.

Web Designing is an art because if you are not creative enough then you can't be motivated to do something new and different.

I think it's a skill. Having the eye for graphic design and the capability of understanding what a business wants to do when they get online is plain and simply a skill.
