SEO Tip Dilemma: Title Tag

For an ideal website, the length for Title Tag should be NO more than 64 characters!
Is it practically true? Do the successful ecommerce sites follow this?!
I notice otherwise, in many cases……!!!

The title can be up to 90 characters long for Google.But be careful for using the key words in the beginning so that they don't get affected when getting crawled.

You can give a long title but only first 64 characters will be crawled by the crawler and thus only those ones will be of importance.

Title length should not be more than 70 character.If title length is more than 70 character,complete title will not display but google crawlwd and indexed but I dont mean you can put as much you want.Try to make title near 70.

It is not necessary that we must follow that ideal guideline of having title tag with limit of 64 characters as in ecommerce website; product name and features can exceed this limit for title tag which Google will not consider in bad way. Here is some more guideline for creative effective SEO friendly title tag

1. Title tag must not be more than 70 characters.
2. Your title should be grab attraction; it will help you to increase the number of clicks after getting first page ranking for specific keywords as you have to compete with other 9 websites as well.
3. Title should be relevant to the SEO, it will help you to cache the web page fast in the search engine.
4. Your title tag should include strongest keywords or keyword phrases.

Yes, you are right. Though its standard limit, people still prefer to make larger titles including their keywords. As per my observation, even that should not exceed 100 characters.

if your keywords are NOT there in the title tag, the site will not come up in search results. And, I noticed that many leading Web Design and SEO Companies do NOT follow the character limits, rather they go for longer title tags

You can take a length which you need ,but Google will read up-to 64 character only.Crawler will not read after that.
