Quick History of Website design and development
Below is the history of website design & development platform which were introduced sequentially for reducing the effort of programming and to provide simple function for its management.
The first website ever built by the World Wide Web organization where they have displayed the necessary information on how to use protocol, information about service and utilizing internet to get information in 1991.
Previously Basic HTML has been introduced to implement website where programmer have to write code manually in HTML and need to define style for each HTML tag to give colorful looks. At that time there was limited and basic tags.
Introduction of HTML editors have eliminated a way of manual programming and gave visual platform where you can write text and define style of different tags.
Concept of CSS files have entirely changed the design of website and provided common way to define style for all the tags. Invention of CSS was the major factor for creating beautiful website design for each web page present on the internet.
Now to give advance facilities to people for creating website without having programming language, website builder software came into the picture which uses web template for creating basic design and editor for implementing the website functions which was easier with admin user interface.
There was a problem with static website; they were being occupied space on server for file storage so concept of dynamic website has been discovered to retrieve data from database and would require storing database only rather than file. Management of website has also improved as compare to static website.
After than in designing, we have seem people using advance graphics like animation and flash for building graceful design and the same way in development, we have seen websites with shopping cart which started selling products online and accepting payment for the same.
Open source content management system was also one of the best thing happened in the industry which have given a new way to create dynamic website with free licensing.
Now we are able to develop mobile websites and application as well and can access the website with remote device as well.
So you can see how technologies for designing and developing website have been changed in last decade of time and how different platforms got introduced. Now we have been moving forward for better implementation based on mobile technology.
