Default What's the best software required to design & develop a web site?

There is a free, open-source website-builder. It is claimed to rival FrontPage and Dreamweaver in power. I just installed it, and haven't had a chance to try it yet. NVU is pronounced "en-view," and is called the nvu website. Compared to a few hundred bucks for Dreamweaver or FrontPage free is good. It should, at least, be a great way to learn about building websites, while waiting for your mortgage to be approved so you can afford Dreamweaver. I'm looking forward to trying . Oh, and there is also a nifty site builder included in Open Office. Learn about Open Office at the website called open office.

There are lots of software. If you do not know anything about HTML, you can use Dreamweaver instead.

The process of professional website creation has been divided in two main parts which are its design and development. For design, you can still use website template or can design it with use of softwares like Photoshop, CorelDeaw and Dream Viewer where developing website require sound knowledge of programming especially when you are integrating shopping cart or payment gateway into your site, advance level of security needed so I suggest you to hire web developer if you have complex requirement. Website builder would work if you want to display information only and no other functions.

Adobe Photoshop is also one of the most popular graphics editors used by designers while working with bitmap images. Although conventionally used for the print media, this software is now popularly used for editing graphics for the Internet as well..

On old day i.e, when i was started web designing and development - I was used a Microsoft FrontPage but now I am using Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver because these are the best software for web designing and Web development.

Along that - I also used Edit++ for web programming development but i only like "Adobe Dreamweaver " as it's simple to use and provide almost all features.
