you may use the "color pick" to know the code of pink, then open the style.css, paste it there. (find category section, background color).

I think you may change from your css file. Try to use firebug tool change the color of any as per their div and their id. These would help you a lot to have a good point over web design.

If you want to change theme of your blog then you go on dashboard or setting of blog and change color.

Change your background color through your external or internal CSS.

bgcolor attribute is known for background color in HTML and this attribute is supported by all web browser .

Sytax of bgcolor :

<body bgcolor="color_name|hex_number|rgb_number">

Where :
color_name = indicates the background color with a color name
hex_number = indicates the background color with a hex code
rgb_number = indicates the background color with an rgb code

I think you can change the background color of your blog by simply going to the settings option of your blog.

I believe you should change it to the CSS file. You can use the firebug tool and change color as per your preference. You can learn a lot about web designing.
