Want to try SOHO, any suggestions about domain & host sever?

I have got some domains on name.com, but some people told me domain on daddy.com is better. And the host provider, I've never been to this field, so any suggestions? Thanks.

Now I'm using godaddy domain names and dreamhost host, and they work well so far.

I don't think there would impact on your efforts in promotion of your website online. Different service provider allow ot register domain and host it as per your requirement and it is not true that all the domains are hosted in Godady. Just make sure the hosting server location is int he country of which you are targeting the audience.
