Default Improve web site speed

1.Well thought-out usage of photos and videos. Heavy images and videos slow down the load time. Use

them only if required.
2.CSS and JavaScript should be positioned in external files, this greatly influences the page load time.
3.Make smarter usage of images it greatly influences the speed.
4.Things like these improve the website performance and thus significantly improve the speed of the site.

To reduce big sized images, save them "as for web". Be smart in using your videos, it's one reason to slow the website speed.

The images thing is a good tip. I have seen many sites use images that have not been cut down in file size, many images can be shrunk which makes a huge different to both the website load speed and your bandwidth savings.
