Default maintenance important to life of website

Many people spend a long time creating their site and infinite hours on the design and layout. Then they are so tired and fed up, they forget to maintain the site.

I have been one of those people. And then months later I chastise myself for not having done a little everyday so the lump sum total would be greater than I have.

I have learned that whether you have a blog or "static" sort of website, keep adding something to it. Even adding a revolving tip section or joke a day or product of the week will help to keep your content fresh.

Alot is not always more. Basically just let your readers know that you still are interested in your own site and they have a reason to come back.

Default I couldn't agree more

I maintain websites for a living and I can honestly say that “little and often” is the way to go.

Starting a Blog so that other people contribute to the fresh content on your site saves you time.

Start a couple of controversial topics and the visitors to your site will take care of the rest.

I also think the frequent updating of a website is pretty useful and can direct more traffic for your site. But make sure to still maintain the quality of articles. This means fresh content and leaving your readers asking for more so they come back for a visit. To be able to do this, write interesting articles and get their feedback.

Yep, you can't add all content to your website in a day, so continually undating is important for your website.
