Minimum Bandwith Requirements of a forum

Hi there,
I am planning to start a new forum - with about 1000+ people. I would like to know that how mush bandwith should be enough to satisfy my needs? I mean will a 20GB bandwith per month will be enough?

It really depends.. what kind of content are you planning on having? If it's downloads, then make sure to have atleast over 100gig. If you're not hosting them on the server, then I'm sure 10gig would even do. Images are hosted on services like Imageshack or Photobucket, so don't worry about those things.

As Kosuke said , it really depends on the niche of your forum ! Personally I believe that 20 GB is enough to run a forum with more than 5000 Members
