Default SiteGround Sucks!. Never choose them

Unfortunately i have a 2 year subscription with them.
The site is soo slow. The most traffic pages are banned by them without warning.
If I complain, they are asking for my Wordpress password!
This is quite funny
Never go SiteGround.

It is the first time that I am hearing this company.
Personally I will not go for a company that do not have a good reputation as you may be in for a lot of surprise.

Default Site Ground = Worst Host Ever

Site ground is the worst of the worst. They are even worse than IX and I did not thing that was possible.

In addition to how slow their servers are, their phone lines are completely unmanned during normal business hours.

This is the worst hosting provider I have ever dealt with, and I've seen some really bad ones.

You have been warned.

I think it's high time to change the company for something more stable.

Default Siteground Terms of Service Scam

Siteground actually has good prices and reasonable services. The issue I had with them is their terms of service. I signed up for their standard Shared Linux package with 750Gb. I did not read their 20 page terms of service. Unknown to me, they had all these bizarre file caps (5gb of JPGs, 5gb of ZIP, etc.). Also, you cannot store more than 5GB of MP3 or any other media files. If you do the calculations on all their limitations, you would be lucky to be able to use 10% of the space you buy.

If you do not follow the rules, they suspend your account and try to charge you $50 to turn the account back on. No exceptions. They totally suck. They also claim to be a U.S. company, but actually are based somewhere in eastern Europe, so watch out.

they make some good free joomla templates. but i've pretty much switched out all my siteground templates because you can remove the logo and links back to siteground hosting without breaking their TOS.

Never go SiteGround.
Why then you have hosted with them for so long? Or they spoilt just recently?

It's high time to change the host IMO. I see no other variants.

Default very same problem...

I've had same problem. A customer of mine posted more than 5G of data on a siteground account...

Seems like siteground guys are not trying to do their best to get customers away of those limitations they built...

Before you buy some package from sitegroung [that's the way they try to keep you in the trap } go and search for some of the many others better companies than siteground out there....

Default Siteground is the worst web host service ever

  • After two days of hosting my website the server went down for more than two hours!
  • No 24/7 tech support
  • No live chat
  • No phone support
  • No courtesy in their tech support agents language
  • When I asked for domain transfer they made problems
  • their website is terribly designed
  • No quick access to support ticket system
  • Canceled the three years account after few days and they refused to refund
  • And guess what, as of the time I am writing this post, their website is inaccessible! The hostgator people could not access my cPanel!!
