Think such companies as greenolivetree.net and sluwebservices.com could also be considered. These are the one I personally tried and which I may call reliable.

Web hosting service is available for many but not all is good just some very nice and helpful .. Although shared hosting is the most popular, there are many drawbacks that make hosting customers to look elsewhere.

Hostgator leads the crowd of more advanced webmasters insurance. I would like to streamline the process of domain name registration and lower the price though. Maybe it's better to buy a domain elsewhere and point to them. However, for pure web hosting, I never had such a good experience I had with them. Even I have a dedicated server with them when I knew I had "better deals" elsewhere, but did not want to risk a less stable company.
