Can't find a good host anywhere??

About five years ago I could create a free website with complete freedom of how I wanted to design it. Now, all I can find are hosts that only have template designs or force you to use their "easy to use website building tools". All I want is a free website that I can edit with HTML. No ads, no banners, just a blank white page.

Of course, I want to be able to have multiple pages as well. Nothing too serious. Anybody know of any hosts like this? If you know multiple, please post them all. Thank you.
