Default Revenue Sharing

I think Revenue sharing should be added to this forum as an incentive to the new comers.

This will help this forum grow at an exponential pace.

i dont know if revenue sharing is giving that much incentive for members to post more.

I may add it in the future, but the chances of this happening is very small. I just think there is many more disadvantages of having it than what there would be advantages.

With revenue sharing you will get more signups and posts, but then you will also have more spammy posts as some people will just signup and post just to earn money and not to post useful information on the forum. This will then cause a more heavy workload for our moderators and will de-value the forum.

Frankly I never think this works well, I am a member of a few revenue sharing forums and I have barely made few cents out of them.

In my opinion - Any incentive that pushes people to write garbage and worry about post count instead of postively participating in a discussion is a detriment to the life of any forum.

It defeats the purpose of a forum and just bugs the other participants who are honest and trying to help one another.

I also think, it is an administrative nightmare. Why create that extra workload?

Just my rant for the day - lol

Im a member on DP a very popular forum that has revenue sharing and during my year of membership minus 6 months of inactivity, Ive made a wopping 27 cents. Im sure there are people that make 1/day but in reality other than putting a charities pub-id as yours its just not worth it, Id rather have all the money go to the forum owner so they can afford to keep the forum running on good fast servers

The money is not the point, its the incentive. I mean its a great attraction to a newbie who hasn't earned a cent online. After some posts just for the share, many start making their own money or just get bored by .01.

I am totally against revenue sharing as people will spam and the work load on moderator would increase.

Revenue sharing may increase fake posters
