What do you guys think of my forum?
Let me know what you think of the design. And do you think we should place adsense somewhere else? We have a fair few members, but could get a lot more, but I've tried many of the methods I can think of (posting about it in related forums etc. I even got leaders of Pete Doherty groups on last.fm to send a mail to all their members about it!)

For starters I feel the current skin is too dull for a fan forum, also your ads aren’t blended properly. Also I see you have taken off the copyright link of phpbb, which if I remember correctly you aren’t allowed to do.
Cheers for the review man. We'll change the ads again, we just did them that way so they'd attract more attention. I'll also look into the php thing you mentioned, Thanks again.
Who is Pete Doherty? Anyway i think its nicely set out, not really liking the colour to bright for me, but other than that i think it looks nice.

It's forum for posting and reading stuff posted by other. So, make fonts somewhat dark on the index page. In the thread it's ok for reading.
Regarding ad place it in the thread after first post to get more clicks and do good blending of colors. reader just ignore current ad appearance so not much clicks.
I don't like the layout at all. Go for something more extreme that will draw in the target market. Im not a big fan of basic layouts but it may work for you.
