I want to perform SEO for websites of my organization, for which i m working, and want to know various methods, techniques, processes, steps and activities about SEO .I have visited a number of web site design company sites for the above information but i can't get them. I want to know actual actions I have to perform i.e. how can I establish backlinks & reciprocal links? How can PR be increased? How SEO Companies do increase Search Engines Ranking for a website, significantly, in a short span of time??????? etc. etc.

Nobody will want to link to your site if the content is junk. So, if you haven't already, start improving your content.

1) Use Wordtracker . com to do some keyword research and find out what people are actually searching. Mix those keywords into the text of your site.

2) Make your content the best, most helpful resource on the net. Help people (remember people- those warm bodies that actually need your site?)... Help people find what they need.

Directory Submission: The URL of the site is to be submitted in different Directories on daily basis.
The major directories are DMOZ, Yahoo, and MSN. We can find the list of Directories in top search engines.
Many Directories needs to be activated after submission of URL, We need to submit an Email-ID in which incoming emails from the Directory webmaster will be activated.
