I am using blog posting, forum posting, comment posting, article submission to get website on the ranking track.
What is today’s Best Practice to get more back links and increase website ranking?

We have the same tactics using for SEO, but lately i just found out that submitting a video from video hosting sites will actually help your site as well. Interms of traffic and ranking.

in my opinion all the above practices are very helpful to your site optimization in different search engines.if you want to get nice page rank of your site then you can try to use all the above practices for your site promotion and optimization.but i think article submission is an effective practice in the present online world.because it generates some traffic to your site as well as get quality back links to your site.

there are two different thing, one is traffic on you website, and the second bringing your website on top ranking, and there use different techniques for both of them,, if you want to get traffic on it, than video marketing is a great way to have it.. and if you want to go with the get ranking on your website, then keep doing work on the same tactice with smart way,, you will get results..

Video and other search engine optimization tactics like targeting google shopping and social networking have become the latest craze and it makes no sense to link building and actual rankings. If you are a real SEO,who cares if you can rank a lousy you tube video or your lousy squidoo page.(moderators I'm just speaking the truth) when your actual webpage is on page 30 or out the actual index. While everybody is busy facebooking and tweeting I encourage you not too but I don't protest it ( I'll just pass u in ranking)

Everybody knows you have to link build and that's the only way to rank organically, anything else is obsolete to true SEO and should be disreguarded cautiously or have your rankings and website suffer the consequences.

The best practice - blogposting I think. Becouse blog links are more powerful in SEO then others.

You can add Blog guesting in this list. It is a great way of acquiring quality backlinks.
