How many types of crawlers are there?
I heard that there are different types of crawlers to crawls videos, web pages etc. Is it true?
I want to know that how many types of crawlers are there.

The crawler is only one. They can crawl different kinds of things in your website. They are made like that they can crawl everything.

Crawler is depends upon sites like Google, Yahoo, MSN,ASK,Altavista,AOL all search engine sites have own crawler and runs according their setting.

The crawler is only one. That is what they called the Spider.

Hi, it is not true their is only one crawler that crawls every thing of your site for example content, Meta tag description and many more.

well, i never heard before that there are more than one crawlers, it come first on you http,,, then following you content of page, and save its small image with it,,

Every Search Engeen has it's own crowl. Sometimes it has two or more crowls, like Google Bot, Google image bot... etc. noone can count them.
