Default Page rank and its impact

I am happy to be part of this forum. This is my second post. And my first post was treated well by members. I was satisfied with the answers. They helped me improve my site. This time, my question is related to Page Rank. I want to know how Google determines the page rank of a site. If Im around 50k links in a month, what do you think would be the page rank of my site? I also want to know the impact of having the rank of a page and page rank zero. Your contributions are welcome.

Some time ago, it was claimed that Google would penalise pages that forbade it from caching their pages. As you know, Google caches the pages it indexes unless otherwise instructed. To avoid problems with people who feel that this is a copyright infringement (and other reasons), they allow sites to instruct the Google spider not to cache those pages using various means.

PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, with the purpose of "measuring" its relative importance within the set...

A hyperlink to a page counts as a vote of support...
The PageRank of a page is defined recursively and depends on the number and PageRank metric of all pages that link to it ("incoming links")...
A page that is linked to by many pages with high PageRank receives a high rank itself...

There is also a mathematical formula, which expresses all of the above...

For good traffic you don't need page rank. I suppose the Page Rank will be removed because Google forget to make an update for this factor. I think it will use this factor but just for internal algorithm. The webmasters will not be able to check the real Page Rank.

Google uses the gross number of inbound link to a page to determine how important the page is. This page rank has little to do with actual search result but can make a difference on user behavior.

In general, a high PR website looks more reputable and quality site, not jut for the search engines but also for the users. But a PR0 website doesn't necessarily mean of a less quality, it can be because it is newly created that's why backlinks are not enough.

Getting PR does not just depend on how many links you've created every day or every month... it's on the numbers of quality backlinks you've created. It means, you can even get high PR from only few backlinks, but are quality backlinks, than on thousands of backlinks from less quality and not relevant sites.

Also, it is most likely the dofollow links can help to improve the Page Rank of a website because dofollow links can pass link juices.

With SEO you have to remember that it is not just about quantity but also about quality. Your page rank depends on the quality and uniqueness of a site as well as relevant backlinks. With that your page rank should rise. Also compare page rank with your competitors sites as you all should be similar.

Hi
Its not about the quantity. its all about the quality. Get quality back links. Then try to give some unique and quality content to your site. Domain age also matter with page rank.
google have its own algorithm called caffeine. By which it determines all these factors. Don't do so much link building in little time that google thinks that you are spamming.
