I am inquisitive to know about social bookmarking. What are the advantages of this service and how effective is it? Are there any disadvantages of it? I need to have valid answers here. How is this technique used? I mean is it possible to bookmark a site? I would also like to know about the names of the many bookmarking websites. I would appreciate any tips, inputs and insights in this regard. I have just started out; I don’t know much about SEO tactics. I am just getting to know about search engine optimization. Thanks.

Social bookmarking is excellent SEO tactic in which you can bookmark your preference sites and get backlinks from there.I did bookmarking in Digg,Deliciou,Reddit etc..

2. Traffic Generation: There is more to book-marking your pages online than just getting indexed; you are also guaranteed some traffic from these sites as soon as you submit to them.

3. Personal Branding: Most of the social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon also give you the opportunity to develop your own page on their site.

It's best to find social bookmarking sites with high PR and good Alexa rank. Posting on such Sites will dramatically change your sites ranking. Two such sites are:

To be honest, I`m using OnlyWire for automatic bookmarking as I`m getting bored fast when it is about SB marketing... So, it is just another easy way to make few back links to your site

Using SB sites I have not generated big traffic to my site, I have got some good back links... that is something...

I am varma form india. Iam new to this Forum. i hope in my view of bookmark is use to create a back links. Bookmarking is a important part of seo. I am not sure My view is wrong plz update me
