Trouble with SEO

Hey friends,

I hope I am posting this in the right place, if not. I really apologise for my mistake.

My site is a UK based site and currently has a PR3. Our competitor also has a similar ranking. However, they are on page one for one of their keywords. We on the other hand, are struggling to even achieving the page 1 for the least competitive keywords.

What is the problem? How am I supposed to fix this? Can some one guide me in this matter? I would really appreciate it if you took a look at the site and gave any suggestions. All opinions are welcome.

Page Rank is not directly related to your ranking for any one keyword. It's a number of how much authority you have in Google's eyes.

To increase your rankings for a given keyword, build one way backlinks with that keyword in the anchor text.

I agree with SEOarbiter, that's the only way I can think of for getting a single keyword to rank well.

try to submit site to high pr site, social bookmarking, link building, article submission. this all make back links for your website and help to improve your site status.

You need to build more and more back link using your targeted keywords. you can do this easily by Social Bookmarking, directory submission, Article Submission, press relies etc

I guess your competitor is doing SEO much better or with more quality. maybe his backlinks are from more authoritative sites. I recommend you to look at the places where from he gets his backlinks and start doing the same.

of course you need to do all of SEO off page efforts they mentioned above but also see though webmasters tool if your site has any problems in being crawled or not it will help you alot
