Referrer check

Hi

a portion of our website is available for public use, but the other content requires membership. We are looking for the members only content to show up in the SERPs and using a referrer check for it. This is similar to the First Click Free. If anyone navigates the site and clicks on the member’s only page, it checks the referrer to see if the last referral was their own. If it is the access is blocked. Does anyone know about this method and its view in the SEO? Will this have any bad implications?
