Default About Paid links

I have a problem with a competitor site. It has a higher ranking and PR while being on the same topic as my site. The difference is that it uses a number of paid links. I recently purchased one of the links for some period. Would Google ever find out about these links? Can they look through my PayPal transaction for this? Can it differentiate between the site owner placing a link and me buying a link? It would really be a great help to me if you guys suggested some solutions.

Thanks for reading.

I think it's better if you make the link building yourself. It''s cheaper and more rewarding.

Hello eoinbronks,

Even you can get good traffic and PR if you linkback or put up your banner with any high traffic trusted website. For ex. V7n is the high traffic website through which you can advertise and get good traffic.

So don't think about google, i don't think it can track these things.
