Backlinks query

I still haven’t understood the concept of backlinks. A majority of sites have a huge number of backlinks pointing to their homepage. For instance, consider this scenario- There is a homepage that ranks 1 for a keyword abc with 80000 backlinks pointing to that page. If that same website considers a different keyword in a deeper page, with just a few backlinks directing to that page, will this deep page rank high because of the overall impact of the homepage? What do you guys have to say about it? Kindly share your thoughts on the same.

Your homepage backlink is different to other page.. It means is you want to rank also your pages optimise it, don't bother with the backlinks of your homepage because it's different..

As per me, we have to optimize our every page which we have to take in search engine. and when you generate back link it is different your home page back link and inner page back link. that is the reason

If you want to rank well you should also optimize the internal pages of your site and use various keywords or anchor text. Consider also deep linking via contextual link building.

Can any one tell me, how much time google take to show backlinks in google webmaster tools, For exapmple If I am doing work on project from last 30 days.

Although addition of quality links to the internal pages and sections of the websites would still add values and positive scores to their whole entities plus domains, but if you are going to target some new business terms, your inner pages would be like new sites which would need a lot of incoming links to be found on top pages of Google plus the other search engines and this is one of the best solutions to use while using a single site targeting tens of words.
