Google added the website speed as a ranking factor.
This is a very good factor as the websites that are heavy waste the time of the user and hence should be given low preference.

The thing with using this as a ranking factor, what about game related sites where games load in their pages. Some of them will be slow. So they will have probably a disadvantage on say article sites talking about games.
