How do you measure keyword density?
How do you measure keyword density on your pages?
Personally, I just count the number of times my keyword shows up. My count is done while viewing the code, so I can see inside meta tags etc.
Is there a better way?

manage keyword density
he basic method consists of measuring the number of times a keyword appears on the page as a percentage of the total word count of that page.
density of your keywords in different in each part of your site. Starting with the Title, beginning of the page, then headings, other sub-headings, and in the introductory paragraphs would certainly be of benefit.
Every search engine method is different, so you must choose an average keyword density that can make your site rank well in the top ten positions
there is free Keyword Density Analyzer Tool is available..

What is the name of that free keyword density analizer tool? Im using seoelite but it was quite expensive. I think is always better to go to the webmaster tools of the specific search engine you are aiming too, for instance google webmaster tools shows a list of keywords of your website^s content, starting from the most relevant or most mentioned on your site, to the lowest in importance.

I read on some article that key word density should not exceed to 7%. That means If you are writing 500 words article the word acne should not repeated more than 35 times.
As I am not 100% on this, So I would need some review from senior members.

There are many tools both online and also download-able, just Google it.
You can add your multiple keywords and it would show the percentage of keywords to the complete text.

There are some tools over the net which are very useful to use for checking the pages keyword density ratios but one thing which is very important is that nowadays, especially talking about the Google search engine, higher keyword densities are no longer working and in some cases they may even damage the ranks.

when you want to do it manually, just go to every page and count the number of times your keyword appeared on the page and then find the percentage by dividing this number by the total number of words on that page. It's hectic though. as long the percentage is less than 10 then it's ok, i guess

All you have to do is keep your content in natural style. dont overdo it and never use too much keywords as it leaves a bad impression upon the reader.

I wanted to validate a fact, that while writing a 1000 words article I shouldn’t be using my keywords more than 70 times? Is it right?

While writing an article it’s important from a SEO view point that your keyword density should not exceed 7% i.e. 4 keywords per 100 words.

I keep my keyword density at 3%..which means that my keyword appear on my blog or article 3 times per 100 words..so if I write an article of 500 words than my keyword appears 12 to 15 times.
