Link farming is creating a page with too many outbound links like link exchange pages or "Resources", and yes it will affect your seo it will get you penalized and your site will be removed from search engines

Link farming is one of the bad tactics of most SEO to dominate search engines. They don't know that by doing this, it will affect their ranking or be penalized by Google.

Link farm is used to index your web page in search engine by spamming. This technique is illegal approach and Search Engine penalize that website when it comes to know.

a best way to change links with others. You can use a link page. For long time development, link farm is not a good idea.

As per the all above replies you must have an Idea about link farming and It's not recommended to use for link building. Consider using other techniques.
