What is diffrance between BLACK,WHITE & GRAY HAT SEO?

Hi Friend,

i am doing seo from last 18 months but i am not aware of black, white, or gray seo.

i had read in one site, there is three types of seo. and they are displayed these three.

White hat SEO is when you adhere to search engine guidelines. Black hat SEO is when you use unethical techniques to manipulate search engines. Gray hat is like black hat.

Ethical way of optimizing a site is called WHITE HAT SEO while using unfair techniques like hidden header tags is termed as BLACK HAT SEO. GREY HAT SEO is a combination of both white and black. One who uses white hat and black hat in parallel is termed as GREY HAT SEO.

White SEO techniques are by following the search engine guidelines and these techniques are ethical. Black hat technique are not ethical as they disguise the search engines and its spamming. However, Grey hats are not entirely according to the rules and regulation but you can do still do it.

there have lots of answers to this questions..but i still want to ask one question that..why to use black and Grey hat seo??.whenever its don't like search engines..!!

The major reason for some websites that are using Black and Gray Hat SEO is to skip the long process of having their page indexed by search engines and totally ignoring what is going to happen to their websites by doing so. Some websites that do this take a little precaution by doing Black Hat at a minimum level so as the search engines won't notice. This is when black becomes gray. But this may cause the search engines, especially Google, to change their rules in SEO and penalize those who do not comply.
