Default What should be kept in mind for a website re-design?

Actually, I am planning to redesign my site. But, I do not know what should be considered during the reconstruction process because I do not want my website to get affected negatively. Currently, it is enjoying good search engine rankings. Besides, it also has more than 500,000 indexed pages in Google. Hence, I am looking for the best way to make the transition process smooth and effective. So, in case you have also revamped the site and given significance to some factors for maintaining site with SEO, then enlighten me on the same. If anyone can help me understand with an example, then it would be really great as I can implement the same for my site.

When redesigning the site stick to the font style you used previously. Then when updating the new design to the site make sure that you save all the pages with the same name so that the crawled and ranked pages does not face any problem.

Remember when you are changing pages to the new design make sure that also import the title and meta tags without fail.

You could also make like a little survey and ask your visitors for ideas and suggestions ...

After the templet created shift all the old design pages in the same name to the new designed site. The same file name helps to hold the ranking position for the new designed site.

If some of the page ranking and indexed, keep same and if you are making new, make 301 of old ones

I think the most important thing for a website is the navigation. If your site is clean, simply and easy to navigate then visitors won't get fed-up and leave!
