Default Is this acceptable?

I have been having a really tough time with links and what would the best way be. The one thing I am very much aware of is the fact that content is a really important thing in this whole affair and there will be success if it is used well.

However, if one was to generate links by themselves, what is a good advice to follow? Is getting links from a website that has a PR higher than your own website a great idea? Would it be fine if such a way of linking is used to get traffic?

There are 2 purposes for building links: traffic and seo. That is why I consider building links from related industry websites are beneficial for both purposes.

There is a lot to talk about this, there are literally hundreds of way for building links, some better, some worse.

Getting links from other related site is one way to get quality backlinks. At the same time you can participate in forum submission, blog commenting, article submission and press releases to get more backlinks. This will also increase your site traffic and bring in more visitors.
