Trying to regain lost ground on the search list

I am a bit unfamiliar with the concept of SEOs . I had a website and a comfortable ranking of 1 and 2 for about 25 different keywords. But since the past week, they all vanished and are only available at page 3 and up on Google. Can anyone tell me why? I think the reason lies behind the 7 press releases that we posted as articles. All of our other content is original except for these. Please help me out with this.

It cannot be because of those. I see 2 reasons here, possible reasons:

1. The MayDay update.

2. Other websites gained some better links that boosted their rankings ahead of you.

Make sure this effectively to press release submission and article submission.

I do agree with that, your competitors are working hard for better rankings and if the keywords are less competitive then wait for some days and check them again. Your keywords might be dancing with Google dance.
