I Think around 6 to 8 keywords are always good for any website. More than that would be excessive and hard to manage as well

That's only up to you, there are websites that target 2-3 keywords and websites that target 50-100 keywords. However, I would stick to max 10 keywords, it's a high number already...

My suggestion is to have one to three main keywords for each page in your website. And remember that keyword research is a very important part of setting up your keyword.

OFF TOPIC: I'm always seeing this "Famous16" user all over in many forums, just starting threads and asking some very basic and general question just to have a sig link, never responding in other threads. If you check out all his posts, you can see what I mean..

The keywords should be of 5-10 Max. But the title of the page should be of 60 characters.

Three to five keywords in home page and one to three in inner pages are sufficient.

Well, it depends on you.. If you have a lot of keywords that can cover the 80 characters in your title tag, that is ok...

I'd focus on 3 or 4 keyphrases with a medium sized traffic flow. Later, I'd start focusing on some smaller keyphrases.

three keywords are enough... (it is also a good number to vary your anchor text)

It can be recommended not stuffing too many words into each page of your website because that would complicate the whole SEO tasks and how your domain is going to get optimized. Addition of links for the keywords targeted should be like a must and therefore, the fewer terms targeted by each page the better because you can better focus on achieving rankings for your few terms and also could use your inner pages to target lots of terms.
