What happens with SERP?

Just for one day, my site from # 4 of the first page of google dropped to the third page. I don't understand why this happened even though I do SEO regularly for my site.

This happens all the time. Probably Google is doing some updates in their algo. Another is that you site may be sand-boxed by Google (I hope that's not the case for you). Observe for some time. Monitor the sites that are linking to you, they may probably be dead (expired, especially for directories, SB sites, and article sites) by now, or your links removed from their sites. Also check your reciprocals often if they are still linking to you..
