The best SEO tool for me is the fireform tool. This is a mozilla tool and it can help me a lot. Especially in social bookmarking and directory submission.

I have seen that many users are recoomending Backlink Tracker Pro, Similar Page Checker, Search Engine Spider Simulator and Backlink Anchor Text Analysis tools...I'll definitely try these and see if get positive results..

Mostly I use firefox plugins, like SEOQuake, foxy proxy, quick search status.
also for blog commenting, I just love to use fast blog finder and comment snipper

Hello, First specify your answer that which kind of tools you are looking for - for keyword research google adwords is there, google webmaster tools are there, goole analytical tools are there, word tracker is one of the tools are there, alexa is there, rank tracker is there for checking rank.

You should try combinations of tool and not rely on just one tool. You could use Google's own keyword tool, Seo for firefox and SeoQuake.
