Home page linking or deep linking which one is better?
Home page linking: If I indicate all keyword for my home page. My home page can get quick back link, as a result good page rank and good position in SERP. Most of the directory and blog, forum don’t not allow deep page linking for free, but it is very easy to get link for home page and popularize it and get result.
Deep page link: If I link all my keyword to my home page, visitor may come through a link and get confuse in home page. Suppose I have a post 3 level deep, but through my keyword visitor came to homepage, and cannot find directly that post, user frustration and bounce rate will increase. However it is very tough to get back link for deep page link.
What you think is the right process? Concentrate only on home page or popularize deep category page individually. Thanks for spearing your valuable time.

I will go for home page linking. I find it more effective than deep linking.
I guess it really depends also in the keywords you are using.

I also agree that home page linking. This will be more important because you just focus on the home page. But about 4 keywords on a page are ok.

Hi,
Deep linking is better in our opinion, as it allows you to concentrate on 2-3 keywords per page and do more relevant content for it.
Google ranks webpages not websites.

Page Links Navigation
Both Home page, and Deep Page Links are very helpful for your website.
Suppose you have more than one hundred pages on your site, visitors will not only find you from your homepage, but through different pages using different keywords.
Since we are All concerns about bouncing rate off course, it will be best to design your site with different architecture.
Consider create breadcrumbs navigation instead, that would help both Search Engines and Visitors to Navigate your Site Easily... Doesn't matter if a page is 3 level down, they will find their way back once you install that tool to your site.

I think that each person has different ideas and points of view. So If you want to get successful, you must focus on both Home page and deep page links. Optimize your page.

Basically deep linking is the linking of information to another page from a website page instead of the actual home page itself. A regular link will point to yahoo.com for example, where as a deep link will point to a particular web page inside of yahoo. Or perhaps consider a regular link will point to the MySpace homepage, a deep link will point to a members profile or some other specific feature page inside of MySpace.
Many large companies discourage the practice of deep linking into pages on their own websites as it allows visitors to go directly to a specific page of interest and avoid their sponsor advertising or other such features that may be a source of profitability for the company. Deep linking however is very desirable to an average internet user who is intent on going directly to the relevant pages of interest. The truth is that companies or owners of website can actually benefit by allowing deep linking to pages inside of their websites.
Thanks.

In general, I would always go for deep-linking. That makes it easier for people following links to get to the right page (a high proportion of people will not use site navigation - if a link or Google link doesn't take them straight to the page they want, they will give up there and then). It also helps search engines to find all the pages on the site and understand what they relate to. As long as your site navigation is half-way decent, Google will find the home page from the deep linked page. The only time I would advise against deep linking is when you can't guarantee the integrity of the links

I think both of them are important! It depends very much on the contents of your site and your targeted keywords.

If you want to promote a particular page you can choose deep linking.
The two does not conflict with each other. You can just combine them.

It depends on the keyword you are targeting. If you are targeting or a keyphrase with relevant content on the homepage then link it to the homepage... if there is no relevant content on the homepage for the keyword or very little as compared to an inner page then link to the inner page.
Remember that link you will get is not the only thing search engines will see to give you a higher rank.. what they will see is also the page where the link leads to and if its far away from being relevant then you just might not get 100% 'link juice'

home page linking is very important but you shouldn't ignore deep linking... both are important. and in my opinion, you can't get good rankings if you are only optimizing your homepage. It also build a stronger foundation to maintain rankings.
