Ok. Here you go. Its a secret. never tell anyone!
Search and find Good PR site which has the "Top Commentator" plugin enabled.
Make it a habit to post comments there regularly. Once you enter their Top Commentator list, You get their PR Juice Transfered to your domain.
Another secret,
Search and Find Good PR sites which has "You comment, I follow" / DoFollow feature enabled. Make it a habit again to comment there.

These are the simplest and practicals ways to get a high PR asap.

Submit to high pr directories, write articles with some deep backlinks and submit them to free article directories. Try to get backlinks from sites with good pr, maybe get a review of your site down at a blog with good pr and traffic.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I am still of the mind that pagerank is for the most part useless. I never could understand the obsession with it, as PR alone won't bring you traffic or bump you to the top of the search engines.

Yep, I also believe that PR doesn't really improve your search engine rankings and things. It is rather useless where there is alot of hype for no reason.

Although saying this, it is still rather good to have a site that has a good PR as so many people still only want to exchange links with high or good PR sites, purchase advertising of sites just because they have a good PR, etc.

So I believe that having a good PR does not really help your search engine rankings, but does help out when it comes to earning from advertising and doing link exchanges.

But I did a research on what u have said and found out that if site has a good PR it automatically helps your search engine ranking,It is true for PRs of 6,7,8.... but not sure whether its the same for lower PR ranking

The problem with this is that some people believe that it will help and then others believe that it will do nothing or hardly anything what's so ever. That is why some people don't bother with PR whereas others would spend $20 - $65 or more for a PR4 - PR6 link as they think they will get a search engine ranking boost.

The only people that know this 100% if it makes a difference in a sites search engine rankings is Google.

If you notice that there are quite a few sites that rank rather well in Google that has also got a good PR. That doesn't mean that the PR has improved their rankings really. It most probably just means that they have managed to get their site on alot of good sites. If you get your site on alot of good sites then your site will improve in ranking and your PR will also have a boost at the same time with the PR that you will gain from having the links on the good external sites.

backlinks are very important for a good pagerank with google. take care of quality backlinks from the same niche.

to get better rankings with yahoo ... site design and content is much more important.

in my opinion

Great tip there by alpha. Besides that, there is the accepted method of submitting to high PR directories,alternatively submit to PR0 directories if you can't afford the high PR ones.

Because it is highly likely that they'll get a good PR by the next update and consequently you as well.

a backlink is a link on another site that links to your url.

The best comment on getting google pr was a comic that said
"our agents have managed to infiltrated google and steal their secret algorithm. Heres the break down......Apparently we need links." and it really is that simple.

Hello to everybody

There are few main things which determine your page rank.
Like....

* Age of your website.
* No of back links.
* Content on your site.

I think it is not important to have high no of back links but it is important to have good back links. Good back links mean
back link form website having good page rank and which matches to your website. More preferable sites having the same keyword.

You may get such link free or your might have to pay for that.

Now see the calculation below.

First PR Update:-(3 Months)

Your site page rank is = 0
Back links:- PR1 site=4 ,PR2 site=3
Your probable future page rank is = 1(1.4)

Second PR Update:-(6 Months)

Your site page rank is = 1
Back links:- PR2 site=4 ,PR3 site=3
Your probable future page rank is = 2(2.4)

Third PR Update:-(9 Months)

Your site page rank is = 2
Back links:- PR3 site=4 ,PR5 site=3
Your probable future page rank is = 4(3.8)

Google page rank updates over every 3 months. If you can not get free back link to good page ranked sites you can pay for that at least for 3 months. ones your website get good page rank you can easily exchange links with the sites having good PR.And ones you got good PR you can charge others for placing their links at your website.
In beginning you might have to invest little money but after few months you can earn good amount by link trading.

Hope this will be useful to you.

Thanks & Regards.

PR has nothing to do with traffic but its the most important for measuring the importance of your web page that how much it is important. You can gain PR by having good backlinks to the site as well good content to your site.

For getting good pagerank it is important that the site should be very good and it should have unique traffic. All the things depends on site and its appearance, beyond this, it requires SEO so that to get traffic.
