Of course yes, how will you imagine a site without keywords, your site will not be visible to any search engines if its doesn't have any keywords.

yes, keyword is very very important for our website. My first 3 blogs are failed to define keyword and I confuse about keyword at my begin stage of learning SEO, so I unable to earn as expected.

The basic thing to question our self is that why we use keywords?
is there any other method instead of using keywords?

The answer we get is first of all the user should be able to find your website, for this it had to be get ranked for the targeted keywords.

How we can rank for the targeted keyword?

Simply get the content for your website which is very unique and which has keyword you are targeting, by doing this we are trying to tell for the bots that we are in this business and try to get ranked for this business.

You need to get some basic knowledge for the SEO....seo IS Based on Keyword only..

Once you decide the keywords you want to rank well for..then only SEO starts ...

"I don't think keywords are important" this is only applicable for the company which have brand image. For example amazon.com this is a brand that every one knows. They guys do not need any keyword level promotion. Because if any user want to buy some thing he just types in google or in the browser amazon.com.
But what about other site if you want your site to make business and that to on a particular niche market you have to use keywords.
What happens if you sell computers and you use your name in place of keywords. How dose search engines know that "henrickglov" is selling computers. Keywords are the thing which will help the search engine to search the results from its database and display the results to the user.

If you don't optimize for particular keywords, the SEs can have a hard time figuring out what your site is about. Keywords are used by SEs to rank your site, so yes, keywords are important.

I tend to believe there are few questions that are dumb questions, but this one falls into that category.
