A question about Traffic Source

i use google analytics,and now i have a question about the traffic source, when i log in it, i can find there has a direct traffic, i want to know what is direct traffic, generally where they come from?Bookmark ?Email or what?

Hi,

As far as I know a direct traffic generates when a visitor type the URL directly or bookmarked the particular URL.

The traffic from social media is considered as referral traffic.
