I have a site and i hope there are more and more people log in my site, and i know a good position on search engine could get you more traffic, so what should i do to?

I think you have to follow some SEO methods to get more and more traffic to your website. Like where your site comes on search results for your keywords is much more important in my opinion. Make sure that the title of your page contains the keyword that you want to target. Good quality content that matches your site's topics, subjects. Make sure to have a good content your site. Find topics that is useful to your targeted customers. Link building is one of the top rule to get a high traffic for your page. Good "QUALITY" of links from other sites. You have to check your inner page links. Link to your pages with correct anchor text.

The key factor is get backlinks with keyword as an anchor text.
You can get backlinks from article submission, site directory, social bookmarking, blog commenting, etc.

its a jouneral question everyone want to be on the top. SEO is not a magic which help you to be top of the search engine page at one night. you have to do lots of hardword to find out promotion streategies. your todays hard work shows after the few moths work. Google not index your site on the top of the search result instate of buidling site. even if you do SEO. You have to follow some guidline while doing promotion.
