you left out that you should also submit the feed to feed agregators ping the feed etc..

Try also to ping your site. I usally made this on all of my blogs and they were indexed within 24 hours.

Exactly, it is necessary for any site to have sitemap as, it allows Google crawler to crawls that page as, it indexes the website very fast and makes it appear on the SERPS of search engine.

I guess I already mentioned that.... you dont ping the blog you ping the feed...

ping the feed etc..

Try sticking up an ad on a classifieds site (eg Gumtree) - that will also get your site indexed quickly

I guess only building a free blog and getting backlink from it won't help you. Firstly that blog should have been indexed in Google then only it can help you.

Even pinging your post do not help much.

i think this may be one of the better ideas, since the crawl rate for the blogs is very frequent. i do have one more thought, that is to submit your site to the most popular social networking sites like digg. you will be get indexed very quickly
